In 1997, EPA established the Office of Children's Health Protection (OCHP) to make the health protection of children a fundamental goal of public health and environmental protection in the United States and around the world. Ten years later, we are reflecting on the progress to date and formulating a vision for the future of children’s environmental health. 2007 also marks the 10th Anniversary of Executive Order 13045 - "Protection of Children from Environmental Health Risks and Safety Risks." Executive Order 13045 requires each Federal agency to identify and evaluate environmental health and safety risks that may hinder children’s health. A series of activities and events is being planned to recognize the significance of the anniversary.
